Along with Stanley Park's Theatre Under the Stars and the Enchanted Evenings concert series at the Dr. Sun Yat Sen Chinese Garden, Bard on the Beach is part of Vancouver's summer tradition of outdoor concerts and theatre in gorgeous settings.

For Bard on the Beach--one of Canada's largest, non-profit Shakespeare Festivals--that gorgeous setting is Kitsilano's Vanier Park, overlooking English Bay, the northern mountains and Downtown Vancouver.

With these dramatic natural vistas as their Mainstage backdrop--the Mainstage tent is open-ended, making the sea and sky views part of the show--Bard on the Beach performs four Shakespeare plays a season: two on the Mainstage, two in the smaller Second Stage Tent.

When: May 28 - September 26

Where: Vanier Park, Vancouver
