Because demand is high, Vanoc--the official organizers of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games--have a three-phase strategy for selling tickets to the games.
Phase 2: Begins June 6, 2009 - Open to Everyone
As of June 6, 2009, everyone around the world can buy Olympics tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Canadian residents can purchase tickets online at the Vanoc site or by calling the Vancouver 2010 Ticketing Call Centre at 1-800-TICKETS (1-800-842-5387).
- Residents of the United States, Australia, Austria, Bulgaria, and Sweden can buy Olympics tickets at the CoSport site.

Phase 3 - November 7, 2009 - Open to Canadian Residents
As of November 7, Canadian residents can purchase 100,000 remaining Olympics tickets and thousands of Paralympics tickets.
How much will tickets cost?
Olympics and Paralympics tickets vary depending on the event, ranging from $25 - $525 CDN.
The cheapest tickets will be for the nightly ceremonies--which include live performances and medal presentations: There will be 30,000 nightly ceremony tickets, 20,000 of which will be $22 CDN each and 10,000 of which will be free.
