Start your shopping day at the corner of Granville St. and W 14th Avenue with breakfast or lunch at Meinhardt.

This family-owned grocery and bakery is a local landmark. Small but packed-to-the-rafters with an enormous collection of gourmet food items, Meinhardt has a delicious, prepared-food section perfect for brunch or lunch--you can eat at one of the tables outside--and a bakery annex, Picnic, with decadent pastries and coffee.

Across the street you'll find 18 Karat, a home accessories store with unusual modern and organic items, and the first of South Granville's many art galleries, Windsor Gallery and Bau Xi Gallery, Vancouver's oldest contemporary art gallery and a South Granville resident since 1972.
