The Bottom Line
Kitsilano's Las Margaritas serves Mexican food by way of Southern California, with some Vancouver touches thrown in: you can get burritos and tacos made with BC salmon. Come hungry: the extra-generous portions will satisfy the heartiest appetites.

Guide Review - Las Margaritas
Las Margaritas isn't authentic Mexican cuisine (for that, try Doña Cata on Victoria Drive), but it is super tasty. A mix of Baja Californian and Southern Californian influences, the menu includes burritos and tacos with BC salmon, vegetarian fajitas with zucchini, and an LA Burrito.
There are all the traditional favourites, too: enchiladas, tostadas, chiles rellenos, nachos, quesadillas. Enchiladas come several different ways: Enchilada de Sonora (with roasted beef and New Mexican chiles), Enchilada Suiza (mild chiles, cream sauce), and Enchilada Verde (covered with green tomatillo sauce--my favourite).
The only downside to Las Margaritas is that much of the food is so incredibly rich I usually feel like I have to roll home. Or work out three times harder. Or, you know, shop W 4th Ave very vigorously.
