Canada Line Overview
The Canada Line is a rapid transit system that runs north-south, connecting downtown Vancouver with Richmond, the Vancouver International Airport and Sea Island.
The Canada Line officially opened on August 17, 2009.
Where does the Canada Line go?
- The Canada Line begins underground, at Waterfront Station in downtown Vancouver, and runs south under Granville Street, Davie Street, and False Creek, continuing south under Cambie Street to 64th Avenue.
- At 64th Avenue, the Canada Line continues south on an elevated guideway, across the Fraser River to Bridgeport Station in Richmond, then continues west to Sea Island and Vancouver International Airport and south to central Richmond along No. 3 Road.
- There are a total of 16 stations along the route: nine in Vancouver, four in Richmond and three on Sea Island.

How much will it cost to ride the Canada Line?
The Canada Line is part of TransLink, and as such will use the same three-zone fare system currently used by the SkyTrain.
