Recycling Your Christmas Tree for Charity - Vancouver Christmas Tree Chipping

There are several options for recycling your Christmas tree in Vancouver--just make sure you remove all tinsel and ornaments, first--including events this weekend and early next week that donate their proceeds to local charities:

January 5 - 6, 2013
City of Vancouver & Vancouver Lions Club
Locations:  Kerrisdale Community Centre ice rink parking lot (5670 East Blvd)
Kitsilano Beach parking lot (Cornwall Ave and Arbutus)
Sunset Beach upper parking lot (Beach Ave and Broughton)
Rona Home and Garden Grandview (2727 E 12 Ave, overflow parking lot south of 12th)
Cash and non-perishable food donations will be distributed to local charities.

Sunday, January 6, 2013
Mount Pleasant BIA
Location: Kingsgate Mall (370 E Broadway)
Chipping by donation with proceeds to benefit the Mount Pleasant Elementary School

December 26 -  January 9, 2013
UBC Botanical Garden
Location: UBC Botanical Garden (6804 SW Marine Drive)
Suggested donation of $5 to benefit the food garden expansion at Thunderbird Elementary School
