Writers & Readers, Short Films & Dancing to Thriller - Weekend Picks

Friday October 23, 2009

It's the last weekend before Halloween, so why not get in the spirit with Saturday's Thrill the World Vancouver? (Also: Now would be a good time to finalize that costume!)

  • Vancouver International Writers & Readers Festival
It's the last weekend to catch this fabulous literary event, which bring together writers (including internationally acclaimed authors) and readers on Granville Island. Ends Sunday, October 25.

  • Vancouver Short Film Festival
Transformed from the Vancouver Student Film Festival into a festival promoting both professional and student filmmakers, this is the VSFF's debut year. Catch the films Friday - Saturday, October 23 - 24.

  • Thrill the World Vancouver
Every year, people from around the world dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller at the same date and time. Dance yourself, or just watch. Happens Saturday, October 24 at 5:30pm. Check out the video of Thrill the World Vancouver 2008.
